The term covers a broad range of re-shaping of the nasal area, which can involve reducing, or increasing the nose size, or changing the shape of the tip, or width of the bridge.

Nose jobs can also assist those who have suffered nasal injury or abnormality, or those who require restructure of the cavities to ease their breathing.

It is extremely rare for rhinoplasty to be funded by the NHS, as surgery purely for cosmetic purposes is not considered a priority. In exceptional circumstances, for medical reasons, this may be considered, but the vast majority of operations are funded by the patient themselves.

The demand for a nose job has dramatically increased in recent years, which in turn, has brought down the cost of the surgery. In the UK, you can expect to pay around £3000 for treatment but there are other factors which can affect the overall price.

The Surgeon & The Surgery
Surgeons who have significant experience in certain procedures, can very often demand more for their work. Their business usually comes by recommendation from previously satisfied clients and they are highly sought after. Surgeons with a lower level of training, or those building their reputation, tend to be cheaper.

The cost of nasal surgery in the UK will vary from county to county. As the procedure is becoming more and more popular, it is now far easier to find a local clinic able to perform the operation. Choosing a local clinic can help to keep down the cost of travelling to appointments.

The reputation of the clinic can have a major bearing on the price of the surgery. A surgery in the heart of cosmetic surgery district of London, such as Harley Street, is likely to be at the higher end of the price spectrum.

These days, it is far easier to find a suitable clinic and research prices by using search engines on the internet.

The Operation And Aftercare
As each person is different and has individual requirements for their rhinoplasty, the amount of work involved in each operation will vary from patient to patient, as will the amount of post operative treatment they require. This will all need to be factored into the overall cost.

Some clinics provide a higher level of aftercare than others. This can ensure the nose heals properly after the operation, and reduces the need for further treatment in the future. The type of anaesthetic and medication used during the operation will also affect the overall cost of the surgery.

Clinics usually offer an initial consultation prior to the operation to discuss your requirements, and identify your required outcome. At this meeting, they will discuss prices with you and tailor a cosmetic surgery package to suit you.

Many clinics offer their own finance arrangements. These can include paying an initial deposit and the balance over a 12 month period for 0% finance, or low monthly payment arrangements over as many as 3-5 years. Financing your operation will be discussed at your initial consultation. If a loan is required, some surgeries will be able to arrange this for you there and then.

Teosyal Filler Prices

What is Teosyal Filler?
Teosyal dermal filler is a minimally-invasive, cosmetic-enhancement skin product manufactured by Teoxane Laboratories in Switzerland and distributed worldwide through certified outlets. Teosyal is one of a selection of injectable dermal fillers on the market and is largely composed of Hyaluronic Acid, a non-animal based substance that is easily broken down by the body.

The use of Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers has increased in popularity since being introduced onto the market between 2005 and 2008. Studies by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and The American Society of Plastic Surgeons claim that in 2010 the use of Teosyal filler, in conjunction with rival brands, came in the top five minimally invasive cosmetic procedures, with figures of more than one million reported to have been carried out.

What is Teosyal used for?
Teosyal filler is an injectable, man-made substance that aims to tackle signs of ageing, such as facial wrinkles, deep lines and furrows, crows feet, nasolabial lines, sunken cheeks, acne pits and even rebuilding of the nose bridge, by plumping and filling the upper skin layers. It can also be applied to augment the lips aswell as smooth the surface of the neck and hands. Hyaluronic Acid itself is a concentrated moisturising agent that forms one of the constituents of the skin, in its natural form. Injecting the substance into the skin is intended to replace naturally occurring levels which have degenerated throughout the dermal layers with age, subsequently re-toning and re-hydrating the skin as a result. It comes with benefits over other non-animal derived dermal fillers in that it is designed to reduced amounts of endotoxin and bacterial levels, manifesting in fewer hypersensitive reactions during and after treatment. In fact, distributors claim only 1 in 20,000 patients suffer from a adverse reaction (redness, swelling and discomfort at the injection site) though even then it is localised and ephemeral. Therefore it is also possible to undergo treatment with Teosyal filler without performing an allergy test prior to injections, as you would with a collagen-based product.

What are the prices of Teosyal filler?
Prices for Teosyal filler treatments fluctuate across the UK with noticeable differences dependent on where you get the treatment (larger conurbations will provide cheaper prices thanks to competition between medical practitioners), what type of Teosyal filler you choose to go with (there are several 'types' of Teosyal with different sized syringe volumes), and current advancements in the method of Teosyal dermal filler procedures. In addition, cost of such a treatment will largely depend on the size of the area to be addressed and the skill of the practitioner undertaking the procedure. However, an approximate guide-price is suggested to be somewhere between £150 and £400 per treatment, moving upwards to £500-£600 for larger syringe volumes. In particular, and as an example, a Teosyal brand called Ultra Deep, which tackles deep wrinkles and facial folding, comes with a guide cost of £250 per 1ml syringe. With this in mind, it is worth noting that each filler procedure is expected to last from 6 to 9 months after initial 'first year' maintenance visits, twice the suggested time of other Hyaluronic Acid treatments available on the market.

Reduce Gynecomastia Without Surgery

What is Gynecomastia?
The term Gynecomastia is derived from two Greek words, 'gyne' meaning woman and 'mastos' meaning breasts, and translates as 'breasts like a woman'. It is a condition which affects men, who develop excess breast tissue, and is commonly referred to as 'man boobs' or 'moobs'. Affecting up to a third of the male population, it is certainly not a new affliction; studies of the mummified remains of King Tutankhamen show that he, too, exhibited signs of breast enlargement.

There are a number of causes attributed to the condition; hormonal imbalances which are generally experienced by adolescent males, genetics where there are other male family members who have Gynecomastia, and dramatic weight loss or gain. Excess breast tissue can also be a side effect of taking certain prescription drugs, and using Anabolic Steroids to promote body-building will also cause breast enlargement. In very rare cases the cause could be an indication of the presence of tumours in the testicles or pituitary glands or, in the case of those who abuse alcohol, cirrhosis of the liver. While it is possible to have Cosmetic Surgery to reduce the effects of Gynecomastia, for those men who would prefer a more natural solution, there are options available.

Gynexin Tablets
Developed to target the subcutaneous adipose tissue (fatty cells) in the breasts, Gynexin Alpha Formula tablets have been devised with the cooperation of the medical scientific profession and leading nutritionists. By taking 1-2 tablets, twice daily with 250ml of water, users will experience significant results within 3-6 weeks. 99% of men who used Gynexin Alpha reported a firmer chest and a noticeable improvement in the appearance of their breasts.

Diet and Exercise
Many believe that by eating a specifically tailored diet, and following a course of regular exercise, the effects of Gynecomastia can be controlled, reduced or even eradicated. The secret is to raise the metabolic rate, forcing the body to burn any excess reserves of stored fat, including those in the breasts.

Nutritionists recommend eating 6 small meals daily, consisting of a fist size portion of protein and the same of carbohydrates at each sitting, and incorporating fresh vegetables into two of the daily meals. This eating pattern will stimulate the metabolism and burn fat and calories as the body works hard to digest the food. Including mastogenic spices such as Turmeric into the diet will also raise the testosterone levels and help to eliminate fat cells from the breast. Eliminating oestrogen-rich foods such as soy-based products will help to balance the hormone levels and improve the condition.

An exercise regime, including 'Interval Training', will kick-start the metabolism and aid in fat burning. Experts suggest a pattern of 30-60 seconds bursts of fast sprinting followed by a brisk power walk of 2-3 minutes, repeated 8-10 times, on a daily basis will deliver a good foundation in Gynecomastia reduction. Combining this daily routine with other upper-body exercises such as push-up's will firm the muscles and tone the chest area, significantly improving the appearance of the breast.

Botox Face and Eye Cream

What is Botox Face and Eye Cream?
Botox is name synonymous with a minimally-invasive injectable cosmetic treatment that aims to retain youthful looks. It is also a powerful medication. In it's purest, natural form Botox is actually lethal as it is a form of protein, 'Botulinum toxin', derived from cultured bacteria. In a typical injectable treatment, a pre-determined amount of Botox is administered to an area of ageing skin to firm it up and reduce the signs of wrinkling.

However, since the popularity of Botox has rapidly grown (over 5 Million treatments are recorded by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons in 2010 alone, up from 4 Million plus the year before) medical researchers have been investigating whether Botox can be applied to the skin in alternative ways; as a topical cream for example. At present no authority-approved cream specifically formulated using Botox exists, though anecdotal evidence from medical practitioners excitedly suggests that creams are currently undergoing testing. In particular, medical scientists are looking at the ability for Botox to attach itself to nanoparticles and therefore be absorbed into the skin producing results of longevity.

Are there any Face and Eye Creams that Produce Botox-like Results?
If, like many people, you are looking for alternatives to Botox injectable treatments that deliver similar results in terms of smoothing out those facial wrinkles and deep lines, tackling crows feet around the corners of the eyes and improving plumpness of the skin, then options are available. A host of creams have been developed that claim to produce Botox-like results on the skin, in particular the face and eyes - the only thing missing is the Botox itself. The costs and success rates of these alternative creams and subsequent patient/practitioner reviews vary and it is advised you thoroughly research before making the choice that is right for you. As is often the way though, skin-types, dermal sensitivity, desired outcome and therefore actual results fluctuate and the ultimate proof is in the trying. It is always worth remembering there is no sure thing.

What Alternative Face and Eye Creams are there?
There is a sea of brand names and topical creams out there that all claim to be the magic answer to your facial aesthetic dreams. Here are four of the major ones:

Q-Vectin
Available online and without a prescription, Q-Vectin is one of the most popular skincare brands available right now. It uses copper peptides to reduce dermal contractions and in turn reduce wrinkling. However, there is a lack of customer testimonials or thorough research tests and many medical websites claim the jury is still out for this cream. Approach with caution. Prices start at £15 a product.

Freezframe
Dubbed the 'instant facelift', it aims to give you immediate tightening results on application. There are online claims this product is clinically proven to reduce wrinkle depth by nearly two thirds in just 28 days. However, it is worth remembering the product is designed for the forehead and eyes and not lines around the mouth. At approximately £70 it is also far cheaper than Botox treatments which stretch into hundreds of pounds.

Lifecell
Positively rated by consumers, LifeCell is another popular brand available that aims to invigorate your skin and eliminate wrinkles. LifeCell claims it doesn't clog your pores with the oily-based ingredients other creams contain, therefore acne and blemishes are reduced. Reports from use of this cream suggest dark circles under the eyes disappear, facial lines are smoothed and skin looks more youthful and hydrated. Budget for approximately £115 for a 30 day supply.

Athena - 7 Minute Lift
Seven minutes; that's the length of time the manufacturers claim it will take to see results after applying this cream. It contains less chemical ingredients some other creams are composed of and aims to nourish your skin not relax muscles or tighten dermal layers. In that respect, it is quite different to Botox but still worth consideration. Expect to pay around £50 for a small tub.

Juvederm Prices

What is Juvederm?
Developed and manufactured by 'Allergan', makers of Botox and Vistabel, Juvederm Ultra is an advanced Hyaluronic Acid dermal filler. Non-animal based, the formula is made by bacterial fermentation from the streptococci bacteria, but is totally biocompatible and degrades naturally in the skin over a period of time, leaving no trace. Launched into the UK market in February 2008, it has become widely used for the correction of facial lines and wrinkles and for adding contour and volume to skin which has lost elasticity due to the ageing process. Juvederm Ultra contains 0.3% Lidocaine (a local anaesthetic) to ease any discomfort experienced during, or following the procedure, and should only be administered by a qualified medical practitioner.

How is Juvederm used?
There are four formulations of Juvederm Ultra; Ultra 2 is for use on medium lines and wrinkles and for adding contour to the lips. One application is 2x0.55m, administered through a 30g needle.

Ultra 3 offers greater versatility and delivers contouring to medium to deep lines, including the nasolabial folds, and for the enhancement of the lip line. Application volumes are the same as for Ultra 2, but injected through a 27g needle.

Ultra 4 is for use in correcting deeper lines and creases, but should not be applied to the under-eye or glabella (frown line) area. The dosage is 2 x 0.8ml applied with a 27g needle.
The Juvederm Ultra Smile was launched in January 2010 specifically for lip contouring and volumising and the 2 x 0.55ml dosage is administered through a 27g needle.

Developed for use in the treatment of skin which has lost contour and volume through the process of ageing, Juvederm Voluma was introduced into the UK in January 2009. It is a thicker, more viscous compound than the Ultra formulation and delivers deep volume restoration to the cheek bone and chin area. The dosage of 1 x 2ml syringe contains 20ml of the Hyaluronic Acid gel.

How much for the Procedure?
Prices for Juvederm procedures are generally charged per syringe used in the treatment, so will inevitably vary depending on size of the area being corrected.

The 'Renew Medica' clinic has locations throughout London and the south-east and boasts a client base of over 60,000 patients. Prices for their Juvederm Ultra procedures start from £250 for a syringe of 0.5ml, to £400 for 0.8ml-1.2ml, and £300 for an additional 1ml syringe used (in the same appointment).

With clinics in London and Nottingham, 'Botonics' has built its reputation on high levels of good quality customer service and clinical excellence. They offer the complete range of Juvederm products with prices starting from £200 for 0.55ml of Ultra 2, £260 for 0.8ml of Ultra 3 and £275 for 0.8ml of Ultra 4. All consultations are free of charge and advice and guidance will be given on the level of treatment required and the expected attendant costs.

Advanced Electrolysis Treatments Facial Red Thread Veins

Advanced Electrolysis Treatments
Advanced electrolysis treatments use electrolysis to remove a number of skin imperfections and conditions. It is not to be confused with electrolysis for hair removal and consequently many aesthetic practitioners prefer to refer to it as an advanced cosmetic procedure rather than as electrolysis. A minute needle is used to get close to the treatment area and a very small current is administered which breaks down the relevant structures to be absorbed naturally by the body. Advanced electrolysis treatments for facial red thread veins have become a very successful and popular procedure.

Facial Red Thread Veins
Advanced electrolysis treatments or advanced cosmetic procedures for facial red thread veins involves the use of the electrolysis needle to administer a tiny electric current onto the surface of the veins. The current cauterizes the vein wall which destroys it, after which the blood coagulates, rises to the surface and is eventually disappears by bodily absorption. Advanced electrolysis treatments for facial red thread veins is a painless and comfortable procedure with no serious risks associated with it.

How long does it take?
Advanced electrolysis treatments for facial red thread veins can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour or more. The exact time it will take for the treatment will depend on the extent of facial red thread veins to be treated and will therefore vary between patients. It is also advised that electrolysis is not overly used in any one treatment session which may mean that your treatment will take place over two or more treatment sessions. A consultation with a reputable qualified aesthetic practitioner will be necessary to confirm how many treatment sessions will be required in your particular case.

How Much Does Advanced Electrolysis Cost?
In a similar way to treatment length, advanced electrolysis treatment cost will also vary between patients. The more treatment sessions that are required the higher the cost will be. Typical costs for advanced electrolysis treatments for facial red thread veins are between £30 and £70 per session. You will need to consult a reputable aesthetic practitioner to confirm how many treatment sessions will be required to treat your case of facial red thread veins. It is probably best to use an aesthetic treatment comparison site to find the best advanced electrolysis treatment prices. The best aesthetic treatment comparison websites have direct access to the top UK aesthetic clinics and are easy, effective and free to use.

Macrolane Injections for Breast Enlargement

What is Macrolane?
First appearing on the UK market in 2008, Macrolane VRF (Volume Restoration Factor) is a product developed to be used in breast enhancement, for patients unwilling to undergo the invasive surgery associated with silicone implants. Pioneered by the 'Q Med' Company, who also manufacture the dermal filler Restylane, Macrolane uses the same NASHA (Non-Animal Stabilised Hyaluronic Acid) technology but in a thicker and more viscous gel. There are two products in the range; Macrolane VFR 20 and Macrolane VFR 30, which uses a higher concentration to achieve greater volume. The products can be used independently, or combined to effect maximum results.

Who will Benefit?
The treatment is most appropriate for women in the 30-60 year old age group, who have had children and lost volume and contour from the effects of breast feeding, for those who have experienced drastic weight loss and may need enhancement to counteract the effects, or for women who are showing the inevitable signs of ageing and need up-lift. It can sometimes be applied to women in their late teens, pre-pregnancy, who wish to increase small breasts from an A cup to a B or C, or a B cup, to a C or D.

How does it work?
An incision of 2-3mm is made in the crease under the breast, and the Macrolane is injected with a thin cannula (hollow needle) into the subcutaneous layer of tissue, above the muscle. The treatment site is numbed with a local anaesthetic prior to the procedure to minimise any discomfort, and the operation should take between 35-45 minutes to perform. Although the treatment is described as 'walk-in, walk-out', there will be some mild bruising, swelling and discomfort following the procedure and it is advised that a good support garment or sports bra is worn for 7-10 days to aid healing. The effects of the treatment can be seen immediately and should last from 12-18 months, although 'top-up' injections are recommended annually to maintain the volume.

How much does Macrolane cost?
It is strongly advised that only fully qualified cosmetic surgeons, with prior expertise in breast augmentation procedures, and bespoke training in Macrolane application, should be eligible to administer the treatment. Currently there are 24 practitioners in the UK who are fully trained and certified in its use, and prospective patients should request evidence of the appropriate accreditation before considering the procedure.

'Q Med' recommends that 100ml of Macrolane is used for each breast to achieve the optimum results, the current, average cost starting from £2,800 for the initial procedure and from £1,400 'top-up' treatments as needed.

Best Instant Face Lift Reviews

Instant Facelifts
Instant facelifts can achieve instant results without any surgery, scarring or pain. There are no ugly side effects and no need for general or local anesthetic. Instant facelift procedures are as quick as 3 minutes and refer to any procedure to treat the signs of aging that is fast, effective and surgery-free. Instant facelifts can refer to anti-aging serums, heating lasers (thermage facelift) or facelift tape. The costs of the best instant facelifts will be much cheaper than a surgical facelift and will depend on which aesthetic clinic is used for the procedure and the type of procedure received.

Anti-aging or Face Lift Serum
Anti-aging or face lift serums work by actually tightening and toning the skin to return the skin to the way it was years before it lost its natural moisture and developed the memory effect of creases and wrinkles. Many face lift serums or creams can help to more permanently remove wrinkles over time by nourishing the skin with peptides and antioxidants which encourages new skin growth. Face lift creams can work within minutes and can be used regularly to maintain results. A 30ml bottle of face lift cream can cost around £25 in the UK with 100ml costing in the region of £85.

Thermage Face Lift
A thermage face lift uses radio frequencies to heat deep layers of collagen helping them to reorganize and strengthen. This promotes collagen re-growth and helps to restore a more youthful appearance. Side effects are unusual although some patients report a slight swelling that is temporary in nature and usually subsides within a week. Results include visible tightening of the skin, softening of acne scarring and reduction of fine lines.

Face Lift Tape
Using face lift tape can be an immediate and cheap solution to achieving very temporary face lift effects. A string is secured on either side of the face with tape and the string is then pulled over the head to lift sagging skin and smooth away wrinkles. The tape is meant to be hidden under the hair line although careful hairstyle choice is required in order to properly conceal the string and tape. Face lift tape is a great option for a specific event or function and can be found from under £20 from most reputable suppliers in the UK. With all of the instant face lift options available, you are sure to find one that fits your budget and your expectations in the short and long term.

Prices for Liposculpture

What is Liposculpture?
The Liposculpture procedure, while very similar to Liposuction, offers a more efficient and precise method of fat removal and is said to deliver better results for the patient. The treatment area is injected with a diluted solution of saline, local anaesthetic and adrenaline, which causes the fatty tissue to swell and the cells to weaken, enabling the fat to be aspirated with the use of a cannula (fine, hollow tube). In preparation for the treatment, it is recommended that the patient has Lymphatic Drainage massage, to stimulate the circulation and disperse the fluids under the skin. Liposculpture may be performed under Local or General Anaesthesia, and takes between 1 and 2 hours to complete.

What are the costs involved?
There are a number of clinics around the country which perform the procedure, for an option which offers the reassurance of experience combined with convenience, 'Transform Cosmetic Surgery Group' have been in existence for over 35 years and are now the UK's premier provider of Cosmetic services. They have 24 clinics around the country and 2 purpose-built hospitals with state-of-the-art-facilities, dedicated to the provision of Cosmetic Surgery. With a team of highly skilled Surgeons, all GMC registered, they have an enviable reputation for the services they offer and can boast a customer satisfaction rating of 98%. They have a network of clinics across the UK, from Sheffield and Wilmslow in the north to Southampton and Bournemouth in the south. There is also a clinic in Wimpole Street for their London based clients. All of the Surgeons working with the 'Court House' organisation have their own area of expertise and are, of course, all registered with the GMC. The costs for Liposculpture treatment starts from; £2,950 for one treatment area, £3,450 for two and £3,950 for three.

Anything cheaper?
For those who find the fees for Cosmetic Surgery procedures in the UK out of reach, or would prefer to be a little more discrete about their treatment, there is the option of travelling abroad. One of the companies who offer this service is 'BeauCare'. They have clinics in London and Manchester where clients will have their initial consultation concerning the procedure they require, and members of the 'BeauCare' team will be on hand to help with travel and hotel arrangements. All of the surgery is performed in Brussels; by Surgeons registered with the GMC are members of the Belgian Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Should it be the first one when Katie, or Jordan as she was then known, began her career as a Sun 'page three' stunner?, and went from a 32B to 32C? Or the augmentations that followed to 'enhance' her profile that took her through 32DD to 32GG? Perhaps the breast reduction procedure in 2007, which she underwent following her marriage to Peter Andre, because as she told the media, 'Pete doesn't like big boobs'. Unfortunately this operation was less than successful and, instead of dropping the requested two cup sizes to a 32C; her surgeon reportedly 'botched' the procedure and could only take Katie to a 32F. Can we guess what happened next? Yes, in the summer of 2008, a corrective surgery was performed, this time taking the breasts to the desired 32C. Fast forward to autumn 2009, and following Katie and Peters acrimonious split, she found love in the arms of 'Cage Fighter' Alex Reid. Another man, another boob job, this time an augmentation back up to 32DD.

Where did it all start?
Filmmaker, Richard Macer has been following Katie's career right from the start, and has assembled 200 hours of footage detailing the 'highs' and 'lows' of her colourful life. During a documentary of his work, aired in 2009, we have a chilling insight into the characters of some of those who influenced Katie's early career. We see an image of Dr. Jeya Prakash, reportedly one of her former cosmetic surgeons, sitting at his desk displaying the first pair of implants he removed from Katie, prior to implanting her with a larger pair. Did he consider them as some sort of trophy or as a source of future revenue? Dr. Prakesh also expressed fears during Katie's stay in the jungle during ""I'm a Celebrity"" in 2004, that she could face injury if her implants were damaged during the experience, and even cautioned that 'they could explode' due to the soaring temperatures. Possibly hollow sentiment as he was responsible for the surgery which gave her the implants in the first place. Another interviewee was Samantha Bond, executive of the first model agency Katie signed to age 17. When asked if she thought Katie would have achieved the celebrity she had if she'd not had breast augmentation, she replied that she didn't think she had needed surgery anyway. Did she ever counsel Katie on that opinion? Would she have sought surgery if she felt she could attain success without it?

Unanswered Questions?
Katie is now with her new love, 26 year old Argentinian Leandro Penna, as is said to be considering further surgery to reduce her breasts to a 32D as he 'prefers a more natural look', and she is pursuing the possibility of a Playboy photo shoot and needs 'perkier boobs'.

So what should we conclude? Is she a victim of unscrupulous manipulation, a sufferer of Body Dysmorphic Disorder with cripplingly low self-esteem and a pitifully desperate need to please? Or is she a highly successful business woman with a £40 million empire who knows exactly what she wants and is determined to get it?

How Much Does IVF Cost NHS

What is IVF?
IVF or in vitro fertilisation involves the fertilisation of the woman's egg by the man's sperm outside of the body - usually in a glass dish. The fertilised egg or 'embryo' is then implanted into the woman's womb. This method of intervention has led to the use of the phrase 'test tube babies'. The procedure is used to help couples who are finding it impossible to conceive naturally and is most commonly used to help women with polycystic ovary syndrome or blocked fallopian tubes and men with poor sperm quality. It can be carried out using the couple's egg and sperm or with donor eggs and sperm. Each attempt (cycle) at IVF treatment is expensive, so there has to be a limit on how many times the treatment is provided to each couple by the NHS.

Who is eligible for IVF Treatment on the NHS?
In 2004 the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) provided guidelines for the NHS stating that 3 cycles of IVF should be provided for couples in which the woman is between 23 and 39 years of age. The couple should also have a diagnosis for their infertility or have been trying to conceive without success for at least 3 years.

In reality however, not all couples who meet these criteria are able to access IVF on the NHS. This is because different areas of the UK have different demands on their healthcare budgets. Some primary care trusts have had to stop providing IVF treatment altogether (for the time being at least) while most others have had to reduce the number of cycles of treatment given to women from three to just one or two. A Department of Health study in 2008 found that two thirds of Primary Care Trusts offered only one cycle of treatment per couple.

What does IVF Treatment cost the NHS?
IVF treatment costs the NHS an average of £5000 per cycle. Around 12,000 women per year undergo IVF treatment on the NHS. This means that based on the fact that most women will only receive one cycle of IVF from their Primary Care Trust, the cost to the NHS is around £60 million per year.

Because NHS treatment is so limited, a further 30,000 attempts at IVF are carried out at private clinics every year. This can prove very expensive to couples and most can only afford a limited number of attempts. In the UK there is also a limit on the number of embryos that are implanted back into the woman in each cycle; usually just one or two. This is in order to remove the risk of multiple births, but this also means there may be a reduced chance of falling pregnant.

This factor, combined with the high cost of IVF in the UK has led to an increase in women going abroad for IVF treatment. IVF clinics in countries such as France, Greece and Cyprus offer implantation of up to six embryos in one cycle. However when this treatment results in twins, triplets or quads, the burden on the NHS can be enormous.

The antenatal and special post natal care required by twins costs the NHS £9,000 while triplets require £32,000 worth of medical attention. This is because babies from multiple pregnancies are more likely to be born prematurely or with complications which require extra care, as well as the cost incurred by the extra risks to the mother's health.

Cost of Chin Liposuctionin London

How does it work?
Sagging skin in the chin area can be particularly distressing as it cannot be improved with lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise, the skin simply loses elasticity with age. However, there are relatively straightforward operations which can help.

Chin liposuction can be helpful to improve aesthetic appearance in people who have sagging skin under the chin, or thick bands of skin around the neck. The procedure is sometimes combined with muscle lifts to tighten the muscles under the chin or around the neck area (this is also known as a neck lift). The liposuction operation involves making small incisions and removing fat via small cannulas and should take no more than about an hour to perform.

Recovery
The procedure will be performed under general anaesthetic so although patients may be able to go home the same day they will need someone to collect them from the hospital. There will be some bruising and swelling in the area operated on and the patient will have to return to the hospital between one and two weeks later to have stitches removed and to have a general check up so that the surgeon can see how the healing process is progressing. Although in the case of chin liposuction the stitches will be very small, patients should still avoid strenuous activity for a week or two after the procedure as they do not want to risk reopening the incisions.

Clinics in London
There are many, many clinics and hospitals in London offering liposuction procedures and prospective patients should research them very carefully before settling for a particular surgeon or medical team. The team's experience and credentials as well as the professionalism and cleanliness of the clinic or hospital should be number one considerations, although serious complications are rare in liposuction operations, the patient should be sure that the operation is being performed under optimum circumstances. Some clinics offer free initial consultations which can be attractive but patients should make sure that they are not drawn into paying more as a result of this if they are not happy with the service.

As a purely cosmetic procedure, this operation is not available on the NHS.

Costs
Costs in London will vary depending on the above (very experienced surgeons will charge more) and also on location, central locations may charge more simply because of the high rent that they pay and because they attract very experienced medics. Prices for chin liposuction by itself start from around £1,500 and up, but as the neck is a smaller area than say, the thighs or buttocks, the costs will be towards the lower end of the scale. This will also depend however on the technology being used, laser liposuction improves recovery times and prices for this start from around £2,000. Patients should check exactly what is included in their package when they get a quotation (e.g. all aftercare as well as the surgeon's fee). If chin liposuction is being combined with a neck lift involving tightening the muscles, patients can expect to pay more.

EVLT Treatment for Varicose Veins Clinics Prices

What is EVLT?
EVLT stands for Endovenous Laser Therapy. Sometimes it is known as Endovenous Laser Ablation, EVLA, which may be a slightly more accurate term due to the nature of the treatment (ablation means removal of tissue). It is a relatively new treatment to the UK having been offered for around three years in treating varicose veins.

What are Varicose Veins?
The role of a vein is to return blood from the body to the heart. Arteries supply the blood from the heart, and the blood is pumped along by the pressure of the heart beating. The blood circulates through the capillaries in body tissues, to then enter venules, before entering the main veins for return. By this point blood pressure is small, so the veins utilise a valve system and the squeezing effect of muscles, to push the blood along. If valves become faulty, blood is allowed to flow backwards and will pool at points along the vein, causing it to stretch and enlarge. The veins can be seen as purplish, red or flesh coloured and are usually raised due to their enlargement. Because the legs have a lot of weight and gravity acting upon them, leg veins are the most common veins to become varicose.

Why do Varicose Veins need Removing?
For anyone who suffers with varicose veins, there can be a lot of distress caused with their unsightly appearance and the tendency to cause pain. Varicose veins are also potentially harmful because they can cause deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot that if dislodged, could then lodge in a vital organ, causing damage and even death. Varicose veins also cause sores and bleeding.

What is involved in EVLT?
The EVLT treatment is not suitable for everybody, and it is only suitable for certain varicose veins involving the long saphenous vein (LSV), which is behind the appearance of many varicose veins. Possibly 70% of people are eligible for EVLT. The standard surgical procedure involves making an incision into the groin area to cut the LSV and strip it away. The procedure is quite harsh. The EVLT procedure is recognised as being equally effective, but much gentler with a faster recovery time.

The patient is given a local anaesthetic prior to painlessly passing a wire up through the vein being treated, to the groin. A fine tube is threaded over the guiding wire, and the laser is fed along the tube. Its position is checked with ultrasound and when the surgeon is happy that he is at the right spot, he will inject further anaesthetic at the laser site, before commencing the laser. The laser will close the vein up from the inside; moving the laser slowly back along the vein whilst it is switched on seals the vein along its length. The laser is removed and the patient is bandaged.

Post procedurally, there is some discomfort for maybe two or three days, and there will be a need for bandages, then a support stocking. After seven days, the bandages are removed. Some minor bruising and visibility of the vein may remain but the body will break down the remnants of the vein and this will disappear.

Costs
EVLT is available privately. Typical costs are around £1700 for one leg, and £2000 for both legs, but this may vary. Some clinics are recognised through private health insurers to carry out the treatment. It is not currently available through the NHS.

Cheapest Gastric Band Surgery Prices in the UK

Gastric Band Surgery in the UK
Obesity is a growing epidemic in the UK and is set to reach extreme levels in the next twenty years. Unfortunately, once the stage of obesity has been reached, it is very difficult to turn back the clock. Gastric band surgery offers obesity sufferers a chance to do just that and is an effective solution when all other methods, such as dieting and exercise, have failed. It is typically only recommended for the very overweight (morbidly obese).

Whilst gastric band surgery is effective and relatively safe (although there are risks associated with all major surgery), it is very expensive. For those not eligible to receive the surgery on the NHS, the costs can be prohibitive. However, as is the case with most things, bargains can be had if you know where to look.

What is Gastric Band Surgery?
Gastric band surgery is performed by Laparoscopy methods, where a surgical telescope connected to a mini video camera is inserted into the patient via a series of incisions in the skin. The aim of the operation is to reduce the size of the stomach by placing an inflatable band around the top portion of the stomach. Once the band is inflated, it creates a smaller upper and larger lower stomach.

Gastric band surgery results in the patient being able to consume far less food in one go and feel fuller quicker. Digested food is slowly filtered into the lower part of the stomach via the tiny gap left by the band. It then carries on its way as normal through the digestive tract. The highly reduced calorific intake results in immediate extreme weight-loss and long-term sustained results if aftercare guidance is adhered to.

Finding the Cheapest Gastric Band Prices in the UK
Whilst you can find competitive prices abroad for gastric band surgery, the recovery time and need for aftercare mean you will be more comfortable opting for a UK surgeon.
The cheapest place to obtain gastric band surgery in the UK is obviously the NHS, but their criteria are very strict, funds are limited and in some areas, the surgery is not available due to lack of funding.

Prices in the UK vary considerably, but a typical average cost for private surgery is in the region of £7000. Prices vary by area, BMI and by clinic, with the more prestigious clinics charging closer to £10000. The price includes up to two years aftercare but band re-inflation following the aftercare period is chargeable at approximately £80-£150.

Some clinics in the UK are offering prices as low as £5450 but do be aware that the aftercare period is only one month and reduced band refills. Cheaper surgery prices may also result in a higher charge for band refills, with one of the cheapest clinics for surgery charging £125 per refill.

Can I get Tummy Tucks on the NHS?

What is a Tummy Tuck?
A tummy tuck is a cosmetic surgery procedure that is more commonly known as abdominoplasty in the medical field; the end result of the surgery is that it firms the abdomen and removes any excess, loose skin. The operation will generally require a stay of two to three nights in a hospital after the completion of the surgery.

How much does a Tummy Tuck cost?
In the United Kingdom, the average costs for a tummy tuck range from £4,960 to £5,350.
If patients are willing to consider the option of undergoing cosmetic surgery abroad then they could save up to 78% on the price in the UK. The savings made will depend on which country is chosen; however it is important to consider the extra precautions and preparations that should be taken. Researching the country and clinic that you choose is essential as there are fewer safeguards against improper practise in foreign countries, whereas the UK regulates plastic surgeons.

Can I get a Tummy Tuck on the NHS?
As a tummy tuck is a purely aesthetical cosmetic surgery, with no benefits to the patient's physical health, it is considered an elective surgery; this means that the patient usually wishes to undergo surgery to improve their physical appearance rather than their health. Therefore the NHS will not usually agree to fund the costs of such a procedure; however in some cases they will agree to pay for the procedure. To qualify for NHS funding, a patient first needs to be assessed by their GP to determine whether they are suffering any kind of health problems, be it physical or mental. For example some patients may suffer from depression as a result of their physical appearance. In most cases surgery will not be the first option, and will be a last resort if therapy fails.

Aside from these guidelines, there are other situations in which patients may be eligible for free tummy tuck surgery on the NHS. In cases where patients have undergone a previous surgery, such as an operation to aid weight loss that has left the patient with loose skin or scarring, they may obtain a referral from their GP to a registered plastic surgeon to discuss their options.

Lastly, patients who have a congenital birth defect may be eligible for NHS funding if they are referred by their GP, though this may also be a last resort following unsuccessful counselling.

What Risks does this Surgery carry?
This is one of the most commonly performed plastic surgeries and it is generally quite safe. However, when considering the operation it is important for a patient to be aware of all of the potential complications in order to make an informed decision. Side-effects are relatively minor, temporary effects that can often follow surgeries or accompany medication regimes. The potential side effects of this surgery include pain and bruising, swelling, scarring or temporary numbness. It is important to note that these are mostly temporary. Complications are more serious and can include infections, permanent numbness and bleeding under the skin.

The NHS Waiting List for Breast Reduction

Reduction Mammoplasty (breast reduction surgery) is a surgical procedure that reduces the size of the breast. There are a range of psychological and aesthetic reasons that drive women to seek breast reductions, one of which is Macromastia, large breasts that put physical strain on the back, breasts and neck and can cause breathing problems over time.

Is Breast Reduction Surgery available on the NHS?
Breast reduction surgery is available on the NHS only in certain circumstances. It is not available in all areas, however, due to constraints on funding, and waiting lists where funding is available are long. As breast reduction is normally considered an aesthetic rather than medical procedure, convincing your GP and Primary Care Trust that you require it for medical reasons can be an uphill struggle.

How do I qualify for and NHS Breast Reduction?
Problems with overly large breasts are beginning to be recognised as a medical problem, however it is very difficult to construct a good case as funding is very limited to those in most need. Your first step in the process is to consult your GP who will discuss different options with you and assess your suitability for surgery against a set of criteria. If you are considered overweight, you will be asked to lose weight prior to any referral being made.
If your GP considers that you are eligible for surgery, he will refer your case to the local Primary Care Trust (PCT). You will probably need to have a consultation with a plastic surgeon and in some cases, psychological assessment, before the PCT can make a decision on whether you can qualify.

How long is the waiting list for an NHS Breast Reduction?
How long you wait is dependent upon where you live. Each PCT has differing budgets and varying demands on those budgets. You PCT will decide how much funding can be spent in any one period and this will dictate how long you must wait for your operation. There have been cases where patients have waited only days before a cancellation slot came in. On the other hand, there are stories of waiting 9 months or more. There are also examples of surgery being delayed by an insistence on psychological counselling which can last up to two years.

Private Alternatives
Whilst some women fight to obtain surgery from the NHS, others consider it worth paying to avoid the emotional roller-coaster involved in seeking NHS funding. Typical private surgery costs between £4500 and £6000 in the UK, although if you search around and are willing to travel, you may find prices as low as £3500.

IVF Treatments Free on NHS

Who is Eligible?
In order to qualify for free IVF treatments on the NHS, there are a certain number of criteria which must be met. Firstly, the woman in question must have had fertility problems for a minimum of three years, or her fertility problem (or that of her husband or partner in the case of couples with fertility problems) must have been identified already. The woman must also be between the ages of 23 and 39 at the time of treatment. The age guides are based on chances of success, as the IVF success rate is notoriously low even in young women. IVF is not recommended at all for women over the age of 42, as the chance of the procedure being a success is so low (around 5%).

Up until a few years ago, the treatment was only available to heterosexual couples trying for a biological baby but due to equalisation of embryology law, the NHS now also treats single women or lesbian couples using sperm donors provided they meet the other criteria.

Primary Care Trusts
Women or couples who fulfil these criteria are currently entitled to up to three rounds of IVF on the NHS. However, this does not mean that all eligible couples will definitely get three rounds. Medical staff must be confident that couples are suitable and some Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) will be able to offer more access to treatment than others. Very often this is a case of funding and so can appear like a post code lottery. The NHS is always trying to ensure that IVF provision is more equal across the country. If after three rounds of IVF, the couple has still not conceived, they must look for other options.

Other Options
For most women who are still determined to try to conceive via IVF, the next step is to pay privately. If age is a determining factor, it may still be difficult for a woman, say, in her forties, to find treatment even if she has the financial means as the success rate is so low that doctors may be reluctant to try the treatment. The psychological strain of what can be quite a laborious and nerve-wracking time can sometimes outweigh the benefits of IVF. The NHS can offer support on other options available to women trying to conceive, such as surrogacy and adoption.

Treatment Abroad
Increasingly, women who has restricted access to IVF on the NHS in the UK or for whom age or money is a prohibitive factor, are looking abroad to get IVF treatment. Very careful research has to be done in these cases as some couples desperate to conceive may be swayed by cheaper prices offered abroad. In some cases this may genuinely be because of the lower cost of living in those countries, but women should not be tempted to put their health at risk because of a potential financial saving on the treatment.

How much does Laser Liposuction cost

What is Laser Liposuction?
Laser liposuction is a newer, less invasive form of traditional liposuction which requires smaller incisions and can be performed under local anaesthetic, meaning that recovery is faster and less traumatic and swelling and bruising after the operation is much lessened. The process works by directing a laser beam at the fat tissue which is then dissolved because of the high temperature. As the fat is then liquid, it is much easier to extract through a cannula.

What are the differences between Laser Liposuction and Traditional Liposuction?
Laser liposuction creates less damage to the tissue than traditional liposuction. With traditional liposuction the fat has to be broken down manually by the surgeon using the cannula itself. This can cause damage to blood vessels and is the reason there is so much swelling and bruising after liposuction. Laser liposuction is a lot more focused and so gentler. Also it is much easier to suck out the liquid fat than it would be to suck out the solid fat using the traditional method. In addition, laser liposuction helps to tighten the skin.

Choosing a type of Surgery and a Surgeon
The surgeon's credentials and experience are very important when choosing a procedure such as liposuction. With minimally invasive techniques such as this, there are fewer risks but all surgery still carries with it some risk. If patients do not feel at ease at the consultations prior to surgery, they should not feel pressured into getting a procedure with that hospital or clinic. This is especially important with clinics which offer free initial consultations as patients can feel guilty about getting something for free. Time and research is of the utmost importance with a decision about cosmetic surgery.

Costs
Laser liposuction is a little more expensive than the traditional method because of the new technologies used and the obvious benefits. Prices in the UK start from around £1,500 at the absolute minimum, but costs starting from around £2,000 are more common, especially in London. The price will also depend heavily on the area of the body which is to be operated on (because of the amount of fat to be removed). Patients need to check what is included in the quote, especially as they may be required to stay in the hospital after the surgery, so meals and follow-up visits may not be included in the initial estimate.

How much does IVF Treatment cost In The UK

What is IVF?
In vitro fertilisation, commonly known as IVF, is the treatment used to address infertility issues in women who wish to conceive. In this procedure, a woman's eggs are fertilised outside of her body in a test tube before being reinserted into the womb in a hope to conceive. Though this process is not always successful, women may choose to have more than one treatment, or 'cycle' in order to increase their chances of becoming pregnant.

Can I get IVF on the NHS?
In the United Kingdom, some couples may be eligible for fertility treatment under funding from the National Health Service; however the guidelines generally stipulate that a woman may only undergo a certain number of cycles before funding stops. If unsuccessful, the patient would have to front any additional costs incurred through further treatments.

The first step in seeking fertility treatment under NHS funding is to obtain a GP referral, which involves meeting certain aforementioned guidelines. Unfortunately, one drawback to this approach is the extensive waiting lists that can face some patients, depending on the area of the country in which they live. If undergoing treatment with the NHS, a patient can schedule their appointments at a hospital close to their home, and in some cases at a private clinic if they hold a partnership with the Primary Care Trust for the area in question.

There is an abundance of information on the eligibility criteria online, or patients can visit their GP to discuss their options.

How much does it cost to fund IVF Treatment in the UK?
The cost of IVF treatment can vary from around £4000 to £8000 per IVF cycle, and this is not inclusive of extra fees such as consultations and medications. The exact amount can change depending on the type of treatment needed, and many women require two or three cycles to conceive so the costs can very quickly add up.

Before this fee patients may expect to pay up to £300 on an initial consultation. Further increases in cost can be influenced by a number of factors. Additional techniques such as Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection and hormone treatments can increase the chance of conception, but will also increase the treatment cost.

What other Finance Options are available?
As with many cosmetic surgery procedures, an increasing number of patients are choosing to undergo fertility treatment overseas in countries such as Brazil and India. The cost of fertility treatments in these countries can be heavily discounted when compared to the UK, with savings of 50-60% possible in certain countries; however these opportunities can carry increased risk and it is important to research clinics and their reputations before deciding to go ahead with a treatment.

Thread Vein Removal Cost

What causes Thread Veins
Thread veins, or spider veins, are generally considered to be a benign condition. The are most often found on the face and legs and are where blood has pooled in capillaries. These veins can become increasingly visible as people age and the skin becomes much thinner. There are many different causes of thread veins including, alcohol, smoking, pregnancy, exposure to extreme temperatures and genetics. In some cases of thread veins, no cause can be found at all. Whilst thread veins are not harmful some sufferers can find them unsightly and wish to have them removed. As removal of thread veins is considered to be a cosmetic procedure rather than a medical one it is not available on the NHS in the UK.

Laser Treatment
Laser treatment to remove thread veins works by using a laser which can be precisely targeted to destroy the veins. Prior to the laser, being applied the area is treated with a local anaesthetic. Once the veins have been treated by the laser the veins collapse and are then absorbed by the body's natural processes. To fully remove a vein most patients require two to three treatments with the treatments being two to three months apart. Costs vary between patients dependant upon the amount of thread veins to be treated. For a single vein, it typically costs in the region of £50 to £80, whereas treatment of a full face can start from around £180. Most clinics offer loyalty discounts if a course of three treatments is booked.

Microwave Treatment
Another form of treatment to remove thread veins is microwave treatment. This procedure works by inserting a tiny needle into the vein and using heat to destroy the vein. After this, the body will begin to absorb the destroyed vein naturally. The cost of microwave treatment varies between clinics and how large the area of thread veins to be treated is. Typical prices range from £150 to £250 per session with a course of two to four sessions required to remove the veins fully. Again many clinics offer discounts if a course of sessions is booked.

Microsclerotherapy
Microsclerotherapy is used most often to treat thread veins on the leg. It also destroys the vein but works by injecting a chemical into the vein which cause the vein to collapse in on itself and then gradually be absorbed. As with other thread vein treatments a course of microsclerotherapy will be required to fully remove the vein. As thread veins on the leg are often larger than on the face up to six sessions can be required. The typical cost of microsclerotherapy is between £150 and £250 for an individual session. On visiting a clinic, patients will be advised which method is most suited to their requirements.

London Vaser Liposuction Reviews

What is the Vaser Liposuction Technique?
The Vaser Liposuction technology is relatively new but is becoming increasingly popular due to its more gentle approach to fat removal than traditional Liposuction.

During the procedure, a small incision is made and the treatment area flooded with a sterile, saline solution which helps to numb the site and shrink the blood vessels (leading to less blood loss and bruising). The presence of the solution also makes it easier for the fat deposits to be broken up when the Vaser sound energy technique is applied. A small probe is inserted, emitting sound wave energy which fragments the fatty tissue on contact but leaves surrounding tissue intact. The liquefied fat is then removed through a gentle suction process, minimising any damage to the treatment area. Recovery time from the Vaser procedure is much shorter than traditional Liposuction, and the results are said to leave smoother, more defined skin.

Which London Clinics offer Vaser?
Founded in 1998 by Dr. Patrick Bowler, 'The Court House Clinics' organisation has grown from a single location in Essex, to a string of clinics across the south-east. It is one of the most frequently requested procedures and has two different applications. Cosmetic Rhinoplasty is an elected surgery where a patient requires changes to be made for aesthetic purposes. A Reconstructive Rhinoplasty is a procedure to restore the nose after an accident, from the effects of disease (Cancer) or to improve impaired function. When choosing a Surgeon to perform the operation it is vital to research thoroughly and to find a clinician with the appropriate expertise, an excellent record for safety and, if possible, testimonials from previous patients. A good starting point is the BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) and the BAPRAS (British Association for Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetics Surgeons) websites. All Cosmetic Surgeons who are members of either of these two organisations will have achieved the highest standards of clinical expertise.

Any Recommendations?
Mr. Basim Matti is Senior Consultant Plastic Surgeon at The Wellington Hospital in St. Johns Wood, and specialises in Rhinoplasty procedures. He is a full member of BAAPS and is the UK secretary of ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons). Mr. Matti likes to see all his patients on a minimum of two occasions prior to their surgery, the first will be to discuss medical history, determine the needs and expectations of his client and detail the procedure. The following appointment will be for the patient to undergo any tests associated with the surgery and to ask any further questions which may need clarification. Patients are assured of a personal and dedicated service from Mr. Matti and his team from the initial consultation through to aftercare and recovery.

With over 20 years experience in private Cosmetic practice, Mr. Norman Waterhouse has an international reputation for his standards of clinical excellence and his superlative patient care. His medical credentials are impressive: a member of BAAPS and BAPRAS, on the GMC Specialist Register of Plastic Surgeons, full membership of ISAPS and a member of the European Society of Craniofacial Surgery. He specialises in Rhinoplasty procedures and performs his surgeries at either the Wellington or King Edward VII Hospitals.

Anyone else?
Mr. Rajiv Grover is Consultant Plastic Surgeon at King Edward VII Hospital and has his own private practice in Harley Street. Mr. Grover conducts all of his in-depth patient consultations at his Clinic in Harley Street and Rhinoplasty surgery would be performed at King Edward VII.

What about prices?
For Cosmetic Surgeons of this calibre, all procedural and attendant fees will only be discussed during a personal consultation, when all of the patient's requirements will be assessed and evaluated.

Do the Best UK Breast Enlargement Pills Really Work

A more Natural approach to Breast Enlargement?
Best UK breast enlargement pills are available in the UK as a more natural and less invasive alternative to breast enlargement surgery. The breast enlargement pills are marketed as a herbal remedy and therefore readily available from high street health shops and on online. It is claimed that the estrogenics present in the pills stimulate the receptor sites in the breast tissue which promotes the growth and creation of new breast tissue. This is basically replicating what happens when a woman is pregnant, but without the milk production. As this growth is not surgically formed it will obviously not produce the artificial look that breast augmentation surgery produces, and instead the look will be gradual and natural.

How long will it take?
Best UK enlargement pills are intended for use over several months and results will take time before the growth is noticeable. Therefore, the pills would not be suitable for anyone who is looking for a quick-fix solution. It is claimed that most women should expect to increase their breast size by one cup over six months, but this varies from woman to woman. In order to increase the chances of the pills having an effect women are advised to limit caffeine and smoking when taking the pills as they will constrain the absorption of the pill ingredients. It is important to follow the manufacturer's guidelines in order to optimise the effectiveness of the pills: take the correct dosage at the advised times.

What about the Results?
Clinical trials regarding the pills have been very limited; therefore a definitive answer regarding their effectiveness is impossible at present. Many women have reported through reviews and internet forums that Best UK breast enlargement pills do work if taken correctly and women are patient, however equally many women report no change in their breast size. The difference in response to the pills may be down to body chemistry. As the pills are herbal based their effectiveness is dependent on their reaction with the hormones and natural breast tissue. As each woman's body chemistry is different their reaction and body's response to the pills will also differ.

Best UK breast enlargement pills reportedly have other health benefits aside to their original purpose. These include relief from premenstrual pain and menopausal symptoms.

There is a risk of allergic reaction to some of the ingredients, however when compared to the risks associated with breast augmentation surgery this risk is minimal.

Non Invasive Liposuction

Non Invasive Liposuction as a Solution for Stubborn Fat
Some areas of the body seem to be pre-conditioned to store excess fat and no matter how healthy your diet or exercise regime you are still left with some stubborn bulges. Typical problem areas are the abdomen, hips, thighs and buttocks. When this happens, liposuction may be the best option and there are now several non invasive techniques available that offer additional benefits to traditional liposuction.

What to Expect from Non Invasive Liposuction
Non invasive liposuction techniques include the use of laser or ultrasound technology to dissolve the fat. The latest equipment can even distinguish between the fat and other important tissue like blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue, which means chances of damage are practically eliminated. The procedure is performed under a local anaesthetic with no need for a hospital stay, so downtime required for recovery is minimal. However, a little bruising or swelling may be experienced but the wearing of a compression garment can help to minimise this problem. Even so, patients are usually advised to wait a week or two before undertaking any rigorous physical activity like working out at the gym. Other than that, normal activities can continue straight away. Depending on the size and number of areas to be treated, the procedure usually takes between 1 and 2 hours to complete. Improvement to the overall shape and contours of the body is immediate for most patients but continuing progress can be expected in the months following. A healthy diet and exercise plan should maintain the body's new and improved shape.

Clinics and Techniques Used
LipoSonix and Vaser non invasive liposuction techniques use ultrasound to dissolve the fat which is then either extracted or left to be absorbed into the body and flushed away naturally. Smartlipo utilises a laser to get similar results. There are many reputable clinics offering non invasive liposuction treatment in the UK. Many are based in the south east and, in particular, London. Websites where you can compare clinics, prices, procedures and specify your location are a good place to start your search for a suitable non invasive liposuction practitioner in your area.

The Cost of Non Invasive Liposuction in the UK
Prices for non invasive liposuction vary according to the clinic chosen, the type of procedure and the degree of work to be carried out. You can expect clinics in the heart of major cities like London, Manchester and Birmingham to be the most expensive, charging between £2,000 and £3,500. However, safety comes first and a proper background check should be carried out on the clinic and the surgeon being considered to perform the procedure no matter what deal is on offer.

Does Botox Treatment Help to Lift your Eyebrows?

The Background to Botox
Botox has been used since the 1980's but originally, it was developed as a medical treatment. It was stumbled across accidentally as a treatment that could prove effective at freezing muscles; its use in alleviating a range of conditions characterised by muscle spasms soon followed. Treatment is highly effective at alleviating the symptoms of a range of conditions such as cerebral palsy, blepharospasm, and dystonia, and for conditions of excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) and symptoms of excessive drooling caused by some neurological conditions.

Over the past decade, Botox has become extremely popular as a cosmetic procedure aimed at reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, without the need to go under the surgeon's knife.

How Botox works
Botox is a neurotoxin called Botulinum Toxin. When administered by injection into an affected muscle, it works by blocking the nerve impulses that make the muscle move. It attaches to receptor sites on the endings of the nerves. The receptor sites are responsible for generating nerve impulses through the release of a chemical messenger called acetylcholine. The production of acetylcholine is greatly diminished and the nerve impulses cannot occur. This in turn prevents muscle activity, freezing the muscles so that they cannot move.
For facial cosmetic work, normal wrinkle-producing movements cannot occur. For example, a smile can raise the muscles in the cheek area, bunching up skin under the eyes, and lifting the eyebrows create lines, eventually causing deep furrows in the forehead. If the muscle activity responsible for creating these lines is diminished, the lines become much less obvious and the skin has a chance to recover from the constant movement it endures.

The Botox Brow Lift or Eyebrow Lift
Muscles within the body work in something known as antagonistic pairs. One muscle has an action one way, and the other muscle produces the opposite movement. The best known antagonistic pair of muscles are the biceps and triceps. Located in the upper arm, the triceps are the muscle that contracts to pull the lower arm downwards and straighten it, whilst the biceps are the muscle that contracts when the lower arm is bent. With the eyebrows, one muscle is responsible for pulling the brows in a downward fashion, whilst the other muscle raises them. Both muscles work in opposition to maintain the facial expression within the brow area.

Botox can be administered to the muscle that is responsible for the downwards action on the brow. This muscle is also responsible for the squinting action of the eyes; if you try squinting, you will feel your eyebrows lower. The Botox inhibits this muscle from acting and allows what is known as an agonist action, where the opposite muscle takes a dominance. In this case, the frontalis muscle responsible for lifting the brows upwards will no longer be working against the downwards muscle, and the brows rise.

The eyebrow lift also has options for the end eyebrow; the client can choose from arched, flared or horizontal brow shapes. The shapes are achieved by carefully injecting in specific places. The results can also smooth out the wrinkles and furrows on the forehead.

Availability and Prices
You should always choose an accredited clinic and an experienced surgeon to carry out the procedure. As the brow lift is one of the standard Botox treatments, it will be offered in all good Botox clinics.
