What is the Vaser Liposuction Technique?

The Vaser Liposuction technology is relatively new but is becoming increasingly popular due to its more gentle approach to fat removal than traditional Liposuction.

During the procedure, a small incision is made and the treatment area flooded with a sterile, saline solution which helps to numb the site and shrink the blood vessels (leading to less blood loss and bruising). The presence of the solution also makes it easier for the fat deposits to be broken up when the Vaser sound energy technique is applied. A small probe is inserted, emitting sound wave energy which fragments the fatty tissue on contact but leaves surrounding tissue intact. The liquefied fat is then removed through a gentle suction process, minimising any damage to the treatment area. Recovery time from the Vaser procedure is much shorter than traditional Liposuction, and the results are said to leave smoother, more defined skin.
